In 1964 when our doors first opened, it was decided that Community Support would be a key philosophy of the Club. Since then, Rooty Hill RSL has responded to thousands of requests from the community for assistance.
The NSW State Government has introduced legislation which obligated all Registered Clubs to allocate a percentage of their income to community based organisations.
As Rooty Hill RSL has always been actively supporting the local community, the new legislation only enforced the importance on what we had been doing for years. “Our aim is to improve the living standards of low income earners and disadvantaged people who reside in our local community” says Richard Errington, CEO, Rooty Hill RSL. This scheme is known as the Community Development Support Expenditure Scheme or CDSE Scheme.
