ROOTY HILL RSL CLUB LTD BY-LAWS
|
1. Behaviour of Members
|
(a) Behaviour deemed offensive, malicious or otherwise inappropriate may cause members to be suspended
|
(b) Responsibility for guest
(c) Offences under relevant legislation is also an offence under the by-laws
(d) Damage, theft or misuse of club property
(e) Responsibility for the use of membership card
(f) Engaging in any conduct which may be prejudicial to the interest of the club and unbecoming a member
(g) Circulating any petition on Club premises without prior written approval of the Board
(h) You must immediately report to an authorised Club staff member, any machine that is able to be operated without using the correct legal tender or without reducing the credit meter by an appropriate or that is a malfunction in any other way, you must stop playing the machine.

2. Removal from the Club
|
(a) That approved persons be empowered to remove patrons from the club for any reason specified in the by-laws
(b) That approved person be the facilities manager on duty
|
3. Sub-Committees
|
(a) Finance and Compliance Committee
This committee meets monthly to provide assurance to the board that the club is meeting its Compliance obligations in regards to internal policy and external regulations.
(b) Business Services Committee
This committee meets monthly to provide assurance to the board that the Club provides member value.
(c) Facilities Committee
This committee meets monthly to provide assurance to the board that the Club assets are maintained and oversee of ongoing development of the property
(d) This committee meets when required to ensure members comply with the requirements of the Constitution or By-laws of the Club
(e) Community Development Support Expenditure Committee
This committee meets monthly to consider applications for financial support under the Guidelines of the Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing to recommend the allocation of CDSE funding for Board approval

4. ELECTIONS- Meetings
|
(a) No how to vote or material related to elections may be distributed by any person (other than that approved by the Returning Officer) within the bounds of the club property.
(b) Handing to any member on Club premises there circulating to canvas or influence the course of voting in the respect to any Board elections or meeting.
(c) Engage in any conduct on Club property either directly or indirectly that may influence the course of the voting in the respect of any Board election or meeting.

5. Donations, Raffles, Pamphlets, Promotions
|
(a) No person shall solicit donations or for raffle tickets for sale on the Club premises without approval of the Chief Executive Officer
(b) No pamphlet, notice or other material is to be displayed or exhibited in or upon the Club premises without prior approval of the Chief Executive Officer
(c) Unless otherwise stated only financial members of ROOTY HILL RSL CLUB LTD are entitled to members privileges including discounts and eligibility to enter any promotions conducted by the Club Members privileges including discounts and eligibility to enter any promotion by the Club.

Note: Gates to Carpark at Railway Street close 11pm seven nights a week

Booking Office Trading Hours
|
The Booking Office, located on the Ground Floor near the stairway to the Tivoli Showroom, is open as follows:
Sunday - Thursday 12pm to 10pm
Friday & Saturday 12pm to 12am

Club Entry
|
After 2am on Saturday and Sunday mornings entry to the club will be reserved to Members Only.
|
No new membership applications will be accepted after 12am on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
|
Guests
|
Guests are the responsibility of the Member at all times and must remain in the company of the Member at all times.
Guests must leave the Club when Member leaves.
Members and Guests must not disregard the instructions of the Management and abide by the rules of the Club.

No Food is to be brought into Club
|
Members & Guests are advised that no food or drink can be brought into the club under any circumstances.
|
Take Away Food Policy
|
(Due to Food Health Regulation Change) Patrons are advised that effective as of December 1, 2006 due to Food Health Regulations there will be no Take Away Food facilities available from Zest Wok 'N' Grill and the Stardust Cafe. All food purchased in the club from these outlets must be consumed at the place of purchase.
No plated food is to be consumed in the Sports/TAB Lounge, Tivoli Showroom, Waratah Room and Wally Dunn Sports Lounge areas.

Prams & Strollers
|
No prams/strollers allowed in Tivoli Showroom. Secure pram/stroller station located near Western Foyer.

- Football, stubby, bicycle, gym or boxer shorts
- Thongs of any description
- Scuffs, masseur and house slippers
- Clothing that displays offensive words or pictures
- Swimwear or leotards
- Untidy or dirty clothes, overalls or footwear
- Torn clothing not in accordance with fashion
- Sharp studded belts or similar
- Motor cycle club emblems or colours

- Headwear of any type (unless for religious or medical reasons)
